The Latin American and Caribbean University Telemedicine Network (RUTE-ALC) and RedCLARA invite the entire academic, scientific and digital health community to take part in the webinar ‘Social determinants of health in the context of Latin America and the Caribbean’, which will take place on Wednesday 19 August.
The social determinants of health (SDH) — the socio-economic, environmental and cultural conditions in which people are born, grow up, live and work — have a direct impact on the equity and well-being of populations across the region. In line with the guidelines of the Pan American Health Organisation (PAHO) and the “Health in All Policies” approach, this event will address the importance of intersectoral action and the design of comprehensive public policies to reduce disparities in access to healthcare.
