29 July: RUTE-ALC invites you to take part in a webinar on digital health skills in Latin America and the Caribbean

The session will mark the launch of RUTE-ALC’s Special Interest Group (SIG) on Digital Health Skills, a regional forum for collaboration aimed at sharing experiences, building capacity and promoting joint work between academic institutions, national networks and specialists in Latin America and the Caribbean.

Academic and scientific communities linked to RedCLARA’s National Research and Education Networks (NRENs), as well as professionals, health managers, regional SIG coordinators and institutions interested in cooperation on Digital Health, are invited to take part in the RUTE-ALC webinar ‘Digital Skills in Healthcare in Latin America and the Caribbean’, which will take place on Wednesday 29 July, via the RCC/RNP platform.

Over the course of 90 minutes, specialists from Brazil, Chile and Mexico will share national and institutional experiences that will serve as a starting point for defining a collaborative work agenda, identifying common priorities and strengthening a regional community committed to the development of digital skills applied to the health sector.

The session will be moderated by Raquel Acciarito Motta, Director of Teaching, Research and Events at the Sociedade Brasileira de Informática em Saúde (SBIS) and will feature contributions from Tania Altamirano of RedCLARA; Isabel López, from the University of San Sebastián in Chile; Grace Dal Sasso, from SBIS Brazil; and Esther Mahuina Campos Castolo, coordinator of the CUDI Mexico Health Community and lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine, UNAM.
