TICAL2025: Innovation Workshop Offers Scholarships and Certifications for Outstanding Participants

Participants in the workshop “Connecting Minds, Transforming Realities,” which will take place on November 10 in San José, Costa Rica, as a prelude to the TICAL2025 meeting, will have access to an exceptional opportunity: scholarships to pursue international certifications in innovation.

Organized by RedCLARA, the BELLA II project, RedCONARE (Costa Rica), the Costa Rican Agency for Innovation and Research, the Ecuadorian Corporation for Research and Development and Academia (CEDIA), the National Research and Education Network (RNP) of Brazil, and the National Center for High Technology (CeNAT) of Costa Rica, the workshop will bring together actors from the academic, scientific, and technological ecosystem of the region in a collaborative, learning, and co-creation space.

Among the participants, three individuals will be selected to continue their training experience, strengthen their professional skills, and deepen their connection with the Latin American innovation ecosystem. The scholarships will cover access to one of the following certifications: the Open Innovation Certification (40 hours), offered by the RNP School in Brazil; the Advanced Innovation Certification (116 hours), provided by CEDIA in Ecuador; and Module 2 “Innovation for Libraries that Transform Lives” (40 hours), also offered by CEDIA.

A Day to Connect Knowledge and Action

The workshop “Connecting Minds, Transforming Realities” will provide a practical and collaborative experience among key actors of the Costa Rican innovation ecosystem. This space will allow participants to exchange knowledge, enhance the spirit of the conference, and promote the integration of innovation into institutional and academic initiatives.

During the workshop, attendees will learn about pre-incubation methodologies implemented by the RedCLARA Innovation Hub and explore how National Research and Education Networks drive the development of innovative solutions.

The program includes practical activities and presentations on the fundamentals of open innovation, inspiring case studies, and the use of testbeds as innovation platforms. In addition, the Costa Rican Innovation System will be presented, and ideation and co-creation exercises will be conducted to identify regional challenges and design transformative strategies, among other topics.
