How to facilitate and promote the participation and co-investment of digital ecosystem actors, and how to apply the capabilities offered by the BELLA II project and RedCLARA to promote meaningful connectivity, digital transformation, and socio-economic development in Latin America and the Caribbean were the main questions that guided the fourth BELLA II Strategic Dialogue, which took place in Cartagena, Colombia, on November 29.
Colombia consolidates and expands its science, technology and innovation ecosystem with the linking of the National Academic Network of Advanced Technology - RENATA to BELLA II, the most important regional initiative in these areas, which seeks to reduce the digital divide between Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean.
To promote technical and technological cooperation, innovation, and digital transformation at the national level, as well as in Latin America and the Caribbean, the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology (MESCYT), the Government Office of Information and Communication Technologies (OGCIT) and the Dominican Institute of Telecommunications (INDOTEL) of the Dominican Republic signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Latin American Cooperation of Advanced Networks, RedCLARA.
