The first meeting of the National Committee of the Copernicus Academy Uruguay will take place in Montevideo on 20 August, in the framework of the BELLA II project and the establishment of the Copernicus Academy Uruguay.  The event is organized by the Uruguayan Academic Network (RAU), the Uruguayan Agency for International Cooperation (AUCI), the National Emergency System (SINAE), and RedCLARA.

Nivardo Ibarra is excited to return to Panama with a new skill. He recently learned how to create radar satellite images using the European Union's Copernicus programme's Earth observation technology.
