BELLA II's Innovation Hub, with support of RedCLARA, the European Union (EU) and Secretaría Nacional de Ciencia y Tecnología from Panama (SENACYT), will host the first edition of InnovaInvest on 23 and 24 October in Panama City. The aim of the event is to promote innovation and entrepreneurship in Latin America and the Caribbean.
To drive the development of innovative projects with a positive social impact, the BELLA II project, led by RedCLARA and co-funded by the European Union, has launched two operational testbeds with blockchain and High-Performance Computing (HPC) technologies. Additionally, a third testbed focused on cybersecurity is under development.
The EU-LAC Digital Accelerator, part of the European Union-Latin America and the Caribbean (EU-LAC) Digital Alliance, has launched its second "Open Call for Digital Businesses," focused on CleanTech and Smart Production technologies. Open until October 30, 2024, the call offers customized acceleration services valued at up to €40,000 for companies and startups seeking international expansion.
